Nothing puts a relationship to the test like locking yourself in a car with your significant other for hours on end. Raising the stakes further? Recording the whole thing - Selfie Style! Be the fly on the wall, the bug on the windshield, the french fry in the cupholder for this road trip of love starring David Moore and Sophia Aguiar!
Q: What is this?
A: DanceOn’s “R. City - Make Up | | #DanceOnRCity” is part of ARTIST REQUEST, a weekly series that pairs emerging music artists with industry-leading choreographers and dancers. This episode of ARTIST REQUEST was directed and edited by David Moore.
Q: Who are those dancers? Are they really together or is this a trick?
They are David Moore and Sophia Aguiar. And yes. They are together. Seriously. Stop tweeting them for dates. Is the ending of this for real? You’ll have to ask them.
Did you see a bunch of guys doing a crazy hoverboard/segway dance to Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean”? Yeah, that was the work of David Moore. David has become known in the industry for his fresh and “cool” take on choreography while being a master of storytelling through movement. This video is no different. David has incorporated the selfie-stick, an iPhone, and Go Pro cameras as his tools du jour to help tell this highly relatable video! David has worked with Jay Sean, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Carly Rae Jepsen, Jesse McCartney, Kelly Rowland, Sean Kingston, and Busta Rhymes.
Sophia Aguiar started dancing at the age of 4. She trained at several local studios, learning all styles of dance from a variety of teachers. In 2006, she got her first performance with Beyoncé at the MTV Video Music Award and appeared in Beyoncé's “Get Me Bodied” music video. Sophia has also performed with Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo, The Wanted, Jason DeRulo, Britney Spears, Usher, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Neil Patrick Harris, Jennifer Lopez, and Justin Timberlake.
Q: Who made that catchy song?
A: Odds are, you’ve got something that R.City produced and you don’t even know it! They’ve worked with the likes of Usher, R. Kelly, Juicy J, Chris Brown, Ciara, Justin Bieber, Future, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Adam Levine, and Miley Cyrus. That’s a long list of hard hitters. This time though, you’re hearing Theron & Timothy Thomas (fittingly from the island of St. Thomas), themselves along with Chloe Angelides!
